I tried to do the lightbulb change but it looked to complicated so I let a professional figure it out.
IM000798.JPG (117664 bytes)
He had to get in there and unscrew and take out the whole light assembly for the right side.
That was pretty complicated.
There was no room to take out the bulb, so gotta do it up front.
IM000799.JPG (131827 bytes)
The left side didn't need to be taken out. You can go behind the light assembly, just make sure to take out the air intake.
IM000800.JPG (89965 bytes)
The other guy helps get the process going by starting on taking out that air intake.
IM000801.JPG (99224 bytes)
The right side took forever because of trial and error.. probably 40 minutes.
IM000802.JPG (105373 bytes)
Half of the air intake is already taken out.
IM000803.JPG (108727 bytes)
The light bulbs, blue on the left and stock on the right.
IM000804.JPG (109440 bytes)
That air intake was dirty.. cleaning it out and pushing it out of the way.
IM000805.JPG (89626 bytes)
This is one of the air filters. See how much mess is in there?
That's why the Audi loses some power..hahaha.
IM000806.JPG (99910 bytes)
Can't believe how much stuff gets in there.
IM000807.JPG (119603 bytes)
Vacuuming out the whole thing will help a lot.
IM000808.JPG (90541 bytes)
Almost there. Screwing the other half of the air intake back in place.
IM000809.JPG (88059 bytes)
Ok connect the two halves...
IM000810.JPG (129831 bytes)
Final screwing and other adjustments.. left side took only 15 minutes.
IM000811.JPG (101517 bytes)
Check the rest, fill in the wiper fluid, etc.
IM000812.JPG (117239 bytes)
Why not check the tire air pressure while we're at it and fill it up to specs?
IM000813.JPG (133428 bytes)
Finally, brighter and less amber (a little more white and blue) lights!
IM000814.JPG (140824 bytes)
Hey this is a full service day. Why not wash it along with the M3?
IM000815.JPG (135805 bytes)
My friend Sid drops by with his carbon black M3 with nice rims.
IM000816.JPG (130579 bytes)
He wanted me to help him install his 6000k bulbs..hehe..
IM000817.JPG (112207 bytes)
We both have 19" rims. His has a real nice lip though..
IM000818.JPG (130371 bytes)
Here's a good view of the back wheels and the lip.
IM000819.JPG (112591 bytes)
Lights are nicer now.
IM000820.JPG (85631 bytes)
When it gets darker it will be good to see the difference.
IM000821.JPG (83105 bytes)
View from my car, flash on.
IM000822.JPG (64148 bytes)
Flash off.. notice the nice blue thing on top of my dash?
It's a GTech Pro Competition that measures 1/4 mile, 0-60, skidpad G-forces, braking, etc. It's sweet.
IM000823.JPG (104661 bytes)
A couple more shots of the Audi.
IM000824.JPG (103953 bytes)
Car is ready to be taken out. What a productive day.
