Actually bronzit — the official color name. Bought it stick shift, had it repainted to a special gray, did some updates, and eventually sold it to a friend. A cool little project car.

I really liked this car. A great big luxury sedan that I wish I had kept. I don't remember why I sold it, but I regret it.

The first truly legendary car I owned. Bought new from BMW of Sterling — the only way to get one since it was in hot demand in 2002. Took it to the track, joined the BMW club, and made a lot of friends I still know today.

Bought this when starting a new VP job — wanted something that matched the role. Great car with nice aftermarket wheels I still have. Eventually traded it in for a Maserati.

Most recent acquisition as of April 2026 — only 10 miles when we received it. Primarily a family commuter; the wife drives it mostly. Seats 5, loaded with cool tech. Makes me want to buy another BMW.

My first exotic. I walked into the Ferrari dealership just to look around, ran into Alfred (our old Land Rover/Jaguar salesman), and he talked me into a test drive. I couldn't get it off my mind, ran the numbers, and pulled the trigger. It got me into the exotic world — great memories, track days, and joining the Ferrari Club.

Bought because I wanted a V12 Ferrari. A one-owner car from Ferrari of Washington — a four-seater grand tourer, very practical for a Ferrari. Took it on many long trips but wasn't driving it enough, so I sold it. I regret it, as I do with every Ferrari.

A rare car I always wanted. I waited about five years after it came out, then drove up to Ferrari of Philadelphia, traded in my Lamborghini, and drove it straight home. Only 3,000 miles at the time. The value keeps climbing — best buy I've ever made, and not just financially. Track-ready, incredible sound, simply the best car I've ever owned. License plate: GG. Still have it, not selling.

Picked this up as a beater — a big V8 SUV to haul things around. The transmission eventually broke, so I got rid of it.

Bought as a primary family SUV because I didn't want a minivan. Reliable, fuel efficient, fully loaded with every option. Eventually replaced it with a Lexus SUV because I needed more towing power for beach trips.

My first proper luxury performance car. Got it at 30,000 miles — a big supercharged V8 with 370 horsepower. Fast, luxurious, and low-key classy. A great super sedan for its time.

A capable family SUV bought new. The first car we had with built-in navigation. Got some incentives on the deal. Reliable and did everything we needed.

Bought new from Lamborghini Washington. Rear-wheel drive — lighter and more fun, like an exotic muscle car with 500 horsepower and a great exhaust note. License plate: ZERG OP. Traded my silver Ferrari F430 for this, then later traded it in for the Scuderia.

Originally the fiancée's car, but I drove it a lot too. Surprisingly reliable and quick, and great in the snow.

Traded the GMC for this at Land Rover in Tysons. Upgraded the audio and nav systems, added a rubberized military-look coating, and fitted a deer guard. License plate: 10 POOL.

Picked this up even though I didn't really need another car — I was driving to New Jersey frequently and figured a reliable Lexus made sense. A great luxury cruiser.

Got this from Lexus Pohanka in Chantilly. Big V8, tows well, seven seats — perfect when everyone needs to go somewhere at once. Still have it and plan to keep it for a long time. Rock-solid reliability.

Found this at Loudoun County Exotics with only 30,000 miles on a 20-year-old car. A cool classic at a great price. Mostly sitting in the driveway right now, but I might mod it and upgrade the nav to modern standards.

Bought new from Maserati of Washington. Red leather interior, full tech stack, 430 turbocharged horsepower. Great sound, great feel — an excellent car all around.

Bought from CarMax because all the rental trucks were booked when we moved to a new house. Got the job done — moved everything including the piano. A solid manual truck I eventually sold to my brother.

Found a great deal on this for about five grand. Used it as a beater to load people and go anywhere, then sold it for roughly the same price. A perfect throwaway car.

An S-Class — couldn't say no. Upgraded the lights to higher-spec LEDs and enjoyed it as a plush V8 luxury sedan, but didn't keep it too long.

A fun, well-equipped little SUV with great tech. Drove it everywhere. The only problem was the constant issues — it kept going back for repairs and the costs added up. Would have kept it if it had been more reliable.

Bought new because I wanted to try a proper AWD sports car and beat it up in the snow. Put snow tires on it, even swapped the wing. A real enthusiast car.

Bought new and had a lot of fun with it. Enjoyed driving it everywhere.

My very first car — bought used. A big V8 I drove throughout high school. A lot of great memories in that car.

Bought as a project car and spent a lot of money getting it sorted. The specialty shop kept charging me for every little thing and it never really got a clean run. Eventually sold it — it was running when I did — but I was done. Had it trucked up from Arkansas and made some mods before letting it go.

Bought from a friend in Pennsylvania. Light, beautiful, stick shift — everything a 911 should be. A friend borrowed it and the engine let go due to a rear main seal leak. Instead of a stock rebuild, I dropped in an LS3 crate motor with 525 horsepower. Got it done, drove it… and didn't like it. More power but it lost the Porsche feel entirely. Sold it and spent a lot more than I planned.

A great car that I didn't keep nearly long enough — only a few months. Missed it so much afterward that I immediately bought the yellow one.

Fantastic. For a long time, the most fun car I'd ever driven — until the Ferraris came along. Porsches are great, even the Boxsters.

A long-time dream car. Flew down to North Carolina with my friend Josh to pick it up sight unseen and drove it back. Fast, beautiful, and I even had Gembala body mods done — new front grille, bumper, and wing. I wish I had kept this one.

Bought new in high school. A nice, quick little car with a lot of great memories.

Bought new after crashing the gray Corolla — my first and last accident. My dad worked at Klein Tyson's Toyota at the time, so that's where I got it. Another great car.

Also bought new from Klein Tyson's Toyota. Loaded up a lot of friends, picked up some girls in college, and generally loved it. It's what got me into trucks and SUVs.

Bought new, replacing the Tacoma for better fuel economy. Turns out you don't actually save money by trading in — I was young and learned the hard way.

The family minivan. Practical and comfortable, but it's a minivan — didn't keep it too long.

The 2009 model, leased as a cheap daily commuter for under $200 a month. Kept it for the lease term, then returned it.
