outqast's Converted Electric Car


This is a converted-electric car using a "donor" vehicle - 1974 BMW 2002

about 3500 miles as an electric so far.

Power pack - 20 - 6 Volt, 220 Amp-hr deep discharge golf cart batteries (nominal 120 Volts total),
Range - maximum 40 miles (never tested).
Uses about 0.3 Amp-hr/mile.
Recharge time - about 20 min/mile used. For 16 miles is about 5 hours. Fully automatic charging.


Top Speed - 75 MPH.
DCP Raptor 600 Amp controller (pulse code modulation).
Advanced DC 9" motor.
Todd DC-DC converter (to keep 12 Volt charged).
Zivan 120 Volt AC charger (use any 120 Volt outlet).
Xantrex emeter to monitor current, amp-hours, voltage.
