I wanted something that was practical (4 doors, AWD for snow), cheap enough to mod
(~$30k MSRP and cheaper than Euro cars to mod), and was fun and fast. I debated a
lot but finally decided after a month of research to go the rally route. This way
I can track the car without feeling that the car is too nice to mess up (like my M3).
And I found it in the Evo.

The M3 gets to be the garage queen while I have fun modding this baby.
The car comes with Brembo brakes on all 4 wheels! Brembo package is about $4k for the M3 and it comes standard with the Evo!
I'm not used to that huge Carbon Fiber wing in the back so I may change it to a smaller one for everyday driving. When on the track I could switch that back. We'll see though.
Unlike the STi, this comes with a stereo with CD player, yey!
Is it me or the 17" wheels look a little small? Maybe the 19" wheels of the M3 spoiled me. But for racing it's good coz tires will be cheaper.
I think this car looks pretty evil.. it's got this smile that has a hint of mischief. Look at that huge intake too.
Of course since I'm an HID freak, I must have xenons.
This engine is proven to be able to handle so much stress and modifications. There are upgrade kits now for this to boost power to over 700hp! I will probably shoot for just around 400-500 for optimum fun around track coz I'm not making it a drag racer. Did you know the boost is at 19 psi at stock? Kinda high I thought but there are mods that make it go higher than 30! WTF?
And to go along with the purpose of the car, it comes with light Recaro seats suitable for racing. No power, no leather that I"m used to, but it's perfect.
One last look at the Brembo brakes and the Enkei wheels
The car looks at home on grass, mud, whatever.. rally car versatility :-)
