and not to be flippant, but I think you needed it. Not in such a way that you were lacking and without it you couldn't continue with your life but in such a way that your tone in some of the recent racial discussions suggested that you were nearly willing to give up entirely on some points of interaction or possible understanding. Understandably, I wish that for a lot more people, that they could listen to someone speak and actually hear them, it's amazing how rare that skill really is.
