to stop these spam bots I have a human verification script ready. There will be an extra input field for to post on the forum.
Basically to POST, you have to enter the image you see. The image has distortions to confuse Optical Readers.. but humans can easily decipher the letters. Example: You can keep putting this code once, or you can do a one time test to get past it. The one time test puts a cookie to bypass the test for a year for that computer (or until you clear ur cookies). I had to do a separate one time test page because I can't create a cookie in the middle of the human verification form (HTTP output started). But that's techie details. I haven't put it out here yet.. just a heads up. It is running in the TEST FORUM now: http://www.karljay.com/testforum Play with it and you'll see how it works. I will enable it here live probably as soon as I get enough responses to know it's ok. Comments welcome! |
